Created objects - reproductions of corners, details of stairs, walls, entrances, are set in the premises of the parent house from which the reproductions are directly based and are exposed to the effects of dwelling for lenght of 5 months. E.g. A wall colored with smoke from a fireplace, worn corners of the wall. It is a constant communication of body and space, the process of life that creates a home from house.
The work certainty examines the subjective sensitivity of the perception of home space by removing the details of architecture from their natural chaotic environment.
The second group of the objects is exposed within the final installation completed in-situ with the intention of communication with the observer and his direct communication with this space. The collection of objects contains a juxtaposition of new and old material with a reference to the mental construct of the home, which is part of our identity composed of old and newly acquired experiences.
Project output was presented at the group exhibition titled "SPLEEN" in May of 2021 in Bratislava. The theme of certainty and security serves as the central focus of the project, with each author offering insightful perspectives through their respective works. Zuzana Jakabová delves into this theme through her photographic pieces, exploring generational and personal identity. Renáta Pintérová examines security through the lens of domestic space and Lucie Žitnayová creates an illusion of safety through her work. Each author addresses a personal topic, placing less emphasis on engaging with and exploring the observer's perspective.
The exhibition project was supported using public funding by Slovak Arts Council.
